One for Paul

That's enough of the serious stuff for now. This post is for my friend Paul, who used to delight in the fact that there was a local firm called the Burnt Oak Timber Company. Well, Paul, you might be interested to learn that about three weeks ago I passed the Stone Boat Building Company...

  1. Hello Tony - congrats on starting a blog! I hope to check in often and see what you're up to.
I was at Braunston on foot, not boat but am heading down towards Braunston now, from Foxton way. Should be at Crick this evening unless I get waylaid by a particularly lovely strech along this part of the Grand Union which is very pleasant indeed. Already been bewitched by the Welford arm, so am easily distracted!
Hope we get to meet up at some point - I'm going down the GU as well, but not in an great hurry.

  2. Hi - Carrie off Blackbird again! I think I just missed you at Braunston - someone said a grey sailaway went into the tunnel 5 minutes before (you'd have passed my boat, moored near the tunnel but I was off shopping). Never mind, maybe see you later down the GU. Happy cruising!
